FREITAG - 21.MÄRZ

I arrived in Frankfurt at 6:45 this morning. I didn't sleep too much on the plane, but they a had a decent selection of movies to watch, and a weird tasting meal of chicken and stuff. At the airport, I wanted to buy minutes on my cell phone, buy a BahnCard and start a bank account, but I didn't accomplish any of these things. When I went to the Postbank to start an account, they told me that they only did transfers, withdrawals, and exchanges. There also weren't any cell phone stores that I recognized so I bought a phone card instead to call Tom's mom Cathy. By then I just decided to forget about the BahnCard because I could always get it later. Cathy came within 15 minutes of the phone call. We came to her apartment and of course it was super clean even though she didn't think so. We talked all day about architecture, politics, family, etc as she offered me coffee every two hours. She laid out the traditional spread of Brotchen, Wurst, und Käse, which was amazing as always. At some point in the afternoon I took a two hour nap, then we drove to town and walked to the internet cafe. Later she showed me a video of Tom and Steffie's wedding and I showed her the pictures I had. Then, we ate at a traditional Hessen restaurant and ended up ordering ribs and baked potatoes, because it was the special of the day. I also had a delicious beer from Dortmund - I think it was an ale. She ended up taking me to a hotel because she didn't want me to sleep on the sofa. There was much protest, but my fate was clear, and she would not waiver.
